CE Canvas Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to CE Canvas, a community engagement and project management platform designed to help organisations plan, manage, and analyse engagement activities.

By accessing or using CE Canvas, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • "Platform" means the CE Canvas software-as-a-service solution.
  • "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform.
  • "Organisation" means an entity that has subscribed to use the Platform.
  • "Content" means any information, data, text, files, or materials submitted, uploaded, or displayed on the Platform.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you may need to register an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your credentials secure
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any law or regulation
  • Infringe the rights or privacy of others
  • Upload or share malicious code or spam
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform

We may monitor use to ensure compliance and protect service integrity.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the CE Canvas Platform — including its software, design, templates, and documentation — remains the property of CE Canvas Pty Ltd.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to access and use the Platform under your organisation's subscription or pilot agreement.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without written consent.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all Content you upload or create.

By submitting Content, you grant CE Canvas a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and display that Content only as needed to provide and operate the Platform.

We do not claim ownership of your data and will handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or your organisation's subscription agreement.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Your organisation may request data export in accordance with our standard data retention policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available".

We make no guarantees that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we take reasonable steps to ensure reliable operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CE Canvas is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total aggregate liability under any agreement will not exceed the fees paid for access to the Platform during the relevant period.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Platform.

Material updates will be communicated to users. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
