CE Canvas includes AI features that help community engagement professionals plan, analyse, and communicate more effectively.

This policy explains how we use AI responsibly, how we protect your data, and what's expected of users.

Our goal is to make AI a support tool, not a substitute for professional judgement or community insight.

AI in CE Canvas is designed to assist, not automate. Examples include:

• EVA Assistant – context-aware help with engagement planning, stakeholder mapping, and method selection
• Document Tools – drafting engagement plans, reports, and summaries
• Feedback Analysis – grouping and summarising community input
• Writing Helper – suggesting clearer or more inclusive language

These tools are optional and intended to save time and inspire ideas.

AI-generated content may contain errors, bias, or outdated information.

Users agree to:

• Review and verify all AI-generated content before sharing or publishing
• Check facts and context against reliable sources
• Apply professional judgement when interpreting outputs
• Avoid entering confidential or sensitive data unless essential
• Use AI tools only for community engagement–related work

Community engagement is a human-centred process — AI simply helps you work smarter.

4. Data Protection

We use secure, enterprise-grade AI services that:

• Do not train on your data when accessed via secure APIs
• Encrypt all data in transit
• Process requests temporarily only for response generation
• Follow the same access controls and permissions as the rest of CE Canvas

All platform data is hosted in Australia, ensuring compliance with local data sovereignty requirements.

5. Reporting Issues

If you notice any AI-generated content that is inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate, please contact us at:
